Jesus' time on earth is coming to an end and he is preparing the disciples for this as they still have questions. Jesus reminds them that it is God who knows what will happen and when His kingdom will come to fruition. In this week's readings Jesus charges the apostles with going out and making disciples of all others by spreading the Good News.
So Jesus gets to go to be with God while His disciples are left here on earth to carry on Jesus' work. To achieve this great task, Jesus tells them that He is sending the Holy Spirit to be with them. It is this gift that we are all afforded and has helped create what we know today as our church and faith.
With this gift, comes a wisdom that know no bounds. Wisdom is discernment, the ability to process knowledge and to find the truth that will form the bedrock of our lives. Wisdom helps us define what is worthy and true, and to find the precepts needed to live a faith-filled life. Wisdom means understanding the consequences of our actions and words before we act or speak. Wisdom means having the knowledge and understanding to recognize the right course of action and having the will and courage to follow it; a prescription for living in peace with the people we interact with daily. Living a wise life gives us great harmony and enriches our sense of self-worth.
However, are we using his wonderful gift of wisdom to fulfill his promises ? Are we using our wisdom and understanding of God to enrich our faith, promote harmony, and enrich the self-worth of all with whom we come into contact? Are we using the power of the Holy Spirit to be Christ’s witness and to stand up for our faith and put our beliefs in action…that the eyes of our hearts are enlightened, and that we know what is the hope that belongs to his call and what are the riches of glory?
God Bless each of you and your family.

EICS Demographic Forms
EICS Demographic Confirmation Forms are available now on your PowerSchool ParentPortal. Please take a moment to visit your PowerSchool ParentPortal account and complete this form; one for each child you have attending school with EICS.
Alberta Education requires that we obtain a detailed update of student demographics on an annual basis. School funding from Alberta Education is conditional on us receiving these updates and including them in your student’s record. More importantly, these forms ensure that we have the most current contact information if we need to reach you in event of an emergency.
We certainly appreciate you taking the time to complete these forms. Should you have any questions, or require assistance, please contact Carrie-Lynn in the office at 780-992-0889 and she will be happy to help.

EICS Family Wellness Worker
Service Delivery
Each school is staffed with a Family Wellness Worker (FWW), who works under the direction of their School Principal and the Assistant Superintendent of Faith & Wellness. FWW's receive clinical guidance from a Registered Psychologist.
The primary function of the Family Wellness team is to provide social and emotional support to students and families. Family Wellness Workers meet with students and parents to assess needs, set goals, identify required supports, and plan appropriate interventions.
They collaborate with school system staff and community resources to build a “village” of support around students/families who are struggling.
Referrals
Parental consent is required for FWW services.
Referrals to the Family Wellness Program may be made by students, parents/guardians, school administration, teachers, or other school staff (e.g. school counsellor or collaborative response coordinator).
Parents and guardians can access these services by speaking with the Principal or contacting the school's Family Wellness Worker directly.
