Wallypalooza is this Friday!
Please plan to join the WLE PTA from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday for an evening of fun as we raise funds for our school! Activities will include carnival games, face painting, fairy hair, an obstacle course, a basketball inflatable, and the Carolina Hurricanes slap shot booth. You can grab dinner, too, with choices of hot dogs, pizza, subs, salads, and soft serve ice cream.
Also, take a chance at our basket raffle, featuring two dozen themed baskets, and bring your checkbook to bid at our silent auction; available items include tutoring, track-out camps, birthday parties and orthodontic services, including a complete set of braces (valued at $6,000!) from Spielberg Orthodontics (bidding for the braces will start at $800). Keep an eye on our Facebook page this week for more information about baskets and auction items.
Admission to Wallypalooza is free, but tickets are needed for the basket raffle, some games and activities, and food. Tickets are $1 apiece and can be purchased with cash or check made payable to the WLE PTA. They will be available in advance from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m. Tuesday through Friday in carpool, and in the front office. Tickets also will be available at Wallypalooza. Hope to see you there!

Volunteers, Cupcakes needed for Wallypalooza
Volunteers, Cupcakes needed for Wallypalooza
The WLE PTA is in DESPERATE need of volunteers for this Friday's Wallypalooza spring carnival. We've kept volunteer time commitments short - at just 45 minutes - to allow volunteers to spend time with their families at this fun event. Please click the following link to learn more about volunteer opportunities, and sign up if you can: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044ba5a82fa20-wallypaloozavolun
The PTA also needs cupcakes and cookies for the Wallypalooza cupcake walk. Please click the following link if you can donate: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044ba5a82fa20-wallypaloozacupca
EOG Proctors Needed!!!
Parent volunteers are needed to help proctor end-of-grade (EOG) tests June 19-23. Volunteers must arrive at the school by 7:30 a.m. on their designated testing day (testing starts at 7:45) and remain until testing is completed (approximately 2-4 hours). Additionally, proctors must attend a training session; these sessions will take place in late April and early May. To sign-up, please visit http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044ba5a82fa20-eogproctors.
Having parent volunteers is a great help because it allows our school to avoid combining classrooms for testing and pulling in K-2 teachers to test. It also helps our school complete testing in a timely manner. PLEASE NOTE: To sign up as a proctor, parents must already have a volunteer badge or come in to the school to register as a volunteer by early April.
