School Supply Packs
If you would prefer to shop for school supplies for your student, the supply lists may be found on our West website. Please click here to view the lists in their entirety. Please note, the district will be providing many of the items for students again next year. Those items are crossed off at the bottom of each grade level.
Special thanks to Lisa Miller for coordinating our school supply pack sales this year. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Schoepel at JSchoepel@d47.org or 815.788.5553.
Message from the Health Office
Please be sure to pick up any and all medication your student has in the health office by 3:30 pm on Tuesday, May 25th. Medication/supplies must be picked up by a parent and/or guardian. Any medication left will be disposed of on Wednesday, May 26th. If you are unsure if your student has medication, feel free to call or email Mrs. Keegan to confirm. A new medication authorization form will need to be completed and on file for the next school year 2021/2022. Click here to access the medication authorization form.

District 47 Virtual 2021 Student Art Show
Don't miss one of our favorite end-of-the-year events -- the District 47 Student Art Show. A special shout out to D47 art teachers for inspiring creativity in our students so we can all enjoy this virtual art experience. Go from room to room (by grade level and school) at the historic Dole Mansion to see the creative works of District 47 students. Plus, get a sneak peek at the Works of HeART auction items benefitting Wehde Early Childhood Center.

5th Grade Celebration
Our WPO is sponsoring a 5th Grade Celebration on Monday, May 24th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. 5th graders are invited to come with their families anytime during that time frame. Please park in the back parking lot and walk around to the front.
5th graders will be able to enjoy Kona Ice and some popcorn. All students will receive a yard sign, a gift from WPO and a gift from their teachers! It is also a great opportunity for 5th graders to take a picture in front of our special 5th grade banner and school sign. Everyone in attendance will need to wear face masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
Special thanks to all of our West families who donated to support this event along with the 5th grade theme days! We appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness!
5th Grade Clap Out
The 5th Grade Clap Out will be held the afternoon of Tuesday, May 25th. Unfortunately, unlike previous years, parents may not attend due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines. We are working with the District to record the Clap Out event.
All In-Person students will attend the Clap Out. Parents of remote 5th grade students will need to complete the Health Screener form prior to bringing their child for the Clap Out.
West looks forward to honoring and sending off to middle school the 5th Grade Class of 2021 with this fun tradition!
Please contact Stephanie Macro (oneillmacro@comcast.net) with any questions.
