A Monthly Resource for Teaching the Faith 4.23

“One of the most beautiful experiences a person can have in the Church is that of being able to see and touch the work of the Lord in people’s lives, of experiencing the fact that God is not some abstract entity, but a reality so great and strong as to fill man’s heart to overflowing; a living Person Who is close to us, Who loves us and asks to be loved

~ Pope Benedict XVI

Shaped by the Source and Summit

In this column, we explore, together, some ways to help those we serve to better understand the Source and Summit of our faith: the Eucharist! This VISUAL SCHEDULE was created for Autistic persons to follow the events of the Mass, and was shared at a recent professional development day in our diocese. It may also be helpful to offer to younger children to be able to follow along with the parts of the Mass! As children begin to get more comfortable with what is happening at Mass, they are more likely to participate!

Praying All Ways and ALWAYS!

The Joy of Easter is a great prayer to begin each session during the 50 Days of the Easter season! Through praying it, we are reminded of Jesus' immense gift to us and that WE are a Resurrection people!

Family Connection

Help families to recognize the entire EASTER SEASON by engaging them in gratitude and prayer at home with this simple fill-in! When Pentecost arrives, encourage a time of reflection. God is, indeed, at work in their lives!

RESOURCE REVIEW

THE WELL videos, found below on YouTube are from a Catholic App called The God Minute.

These ambiance videos provide an interesting backdrop if you have a space to play them and involve your participants in some guided meditation. The videos help appeal to the senses, for those participants who need to engage more than just listening ears! The YouTube channel also provides a number of pray along videos, helpful for catechetical sessions. Check it out below!
