Hearts Aflame For the Love of Christ
Moving Along with Mrs. Maddox
Dear Friends in Christ,
As we continue to work through the 4th Quarter and adjust to online learning, I think it is important to celebrate all the good that we have achieved over the past few weeks. I am so proud of the many families that check into Facebook daily to participate in morning prayer, Art, Music, PE, and Spanish. I am super impressed with the many, many, many families that tune into Facebook every Wednesday for All School Mass while still at home. I am amazed at our CARE Team’s (Counselor, Nurse, and Special Education Teacher) effort and concern for our community. They personally called all 266 families to check in with parents and make sure families and students were safe, and to see if they needed anything. I am so proud of our teachers who stopped their 4th Quarter plans cold, turned 180 degrees in the opposite direction, and did everything they could to get their lessons online ASAP so kids could keep learning, growing, and feeling loved. Lastly, I am forever grateful for the many personal emails, texts, posts, and notes of gratitude from our parents to our teachers. Your support, flexibility, and prayers have carried all of us this far and will no doubt help us end the year right on track!
To say our school community is amazing is not enough … but it’s a start. With Hearts Aflame for the Love of Christ, the St. Joseph School Community is online, working hard, and ready to be back together as soon as possible. We pray each of you are safe and doing well; know that we pray in thanksgiving every day for our parish. Thank you for your continued support.
With a Grateful Heart,
Jodie Maddox, Principal St. Joseph School
