SHARK SHOUTOUTS

  • "I would like to give some "thanks" to both Cheri Armstrong and John Dickson, for providing our students with two amazing authentic learning opportunities. Cheri tackled her first Credit for Life fair, which provided our seniors with a "sneak peek" into the reality of adulthood. Students learned how to be fiscally responsible as they prepare for life after Monomoy. Secondly, John Dickson and the Political Action Club hosted a congressional debate, a pre-COVID tradition. Our students held integral roles in the process by writing the questions for the candidates and moderating the debate. It was easy to see why our social studies department is a state exemplar of civics in action!" - Principal Jennifer Police

  • "A huge thank you to Cape Cod Five, Mrs. Armstrong and all the volunteers who made Credit For Life possible. This is a great opportunity for the senior class to learn how to be fiscally responsible as they make plans for their next chapter!" -The Guidance Team

Credit for Life Fair

On Thursday, November 3, senior students participated in Credit for Life, a financial literacy fair, sponsored by Cape Cod 5. The fair provides students with a fun and engaging opportunity to discover the importance of their financial decisions and their planning for the future. This program would not have been possible without the generosity of those who volunteered their time and the support of local businesses providing generous donations to make this a memorable and exciting event for our students.

Sandscript visits HES & CES on Halloween day

Once again, Sandscript (our creative writing club) continued the 20+ year tradition of visiting Kindergarten and 1st graders to read Halloween stories that they wrote and illustrated. Many thanks to Principal Jen Police for supporting our annual trip and the following teachers who invited us into their classrooms: Dawn King and Elise Johnson-Dreyer from CES; Julia Blois, Brandi Frommeyer, Amy Silvester, Susan Rusch, and Kathryn Giangregorio from HES. Without the support of these teachers, this wonderful tradition cannot continue. We hope you enjoy these photos taken by wonderful Joy Jordan.
