Mt. Carmel High School, the pride of Penasquitos for 40 years, showcases the district's first successful trimester system, a student body rich with diverse populations, and an open access policy to over 21 (AP) Advanced Placement, and honors courses.

Our generous trimester system allows students to accelerate through math, science and world language courses, and explore our CTE (Career & Technical Education) curriculum. Space permitting, Sundevils can also repeat a course in the same calendar year for a better grade, and make room for unique opportunities such as Internships.

Mt. Carmel offers a one of kind Fire Science program, a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum in Engineering and Computer Science, and a Sports Medicine pathway.

Below, be sure to check out our wide array of opportunities, as well as our nationally recognized, and award winning Performing Arts programs; Mt. Carmel Marching Band, Jazz Band, Choir, and Drama.

In addition to the resources outlined here, our Sundevil Way Guide will help you develop a 4 year plan that is meaningful and relevant to you. #itsthesundevilway
