Immersion Education – Teaching academic content in another language
Hello Fronteras Families!
Can you believe we are in December already?! It’s certainly true about time flying when you’re having fun! Thank you for a wonderful 3 ½ months of school! It has been a joy and honor to learn about our new students and get reacquainted with our returning kiddos.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR:
· Wednesday, December 6th, WHOLE SCHOOL field trip to Glenn Massay theater to watch a special production of The Nutcracker. We are closing the school during the field trip, so no staff will be available to supervise students. Like with all field trips and events, it is a choice to attend. For families who choose not to have their student(s) attend, please pick your child(ren) up at Fronteras by 9:45am. You are welcome to bring your student(s) back to Fronteras upon our return, at approximately 1:20pm to finish the school day. Thank you to Fronteras parent, Mrs. Atkinson, for offering this awesome opportunity to us! Students attending will need a cold lunch. We will be visiting with the cast members after the production and eating lunch at the theater.
· We look forward to seeing everyone at our concerts next Friday and Monday. Grades K-5 perform Friday evening at 5:30pm and Middle School Choir and Band perform Monday evening, also at 5:30pm. We appreciate your support of music in our school, as it is becoming a rare option in public schools. We are steadfast in our belief that music is essential for the development of the whole child.
Congratulations to Reagan, Kendall, and Miss Pierce’s homeroom class! Reagan was the top seller for grades K-5, Kendall was the top seller for middle school, and Miss Pierce’s homeroom was the top selling class overall! After a very serious bounce-off between Sr. McBride and Sr. Burns, Kendall went home with the portable DJ system, and Reagan went home with a fabulous red scooter! See pictures of the bounce-off below. 1st grader Aiden was the lucky winner of those two slightly used red bounce-off balls! Miss Pierce’s class will join Mrs. Adams and I for indoor golf at Putter’s Wild later this year. We were honored to present Red Cross representatives with a disaster relief check for nearly $4000.00! Thank you to our families and friends for supporting this fundraiser! See more fun photos from today’s assembly throughout the newsletter.
We wish you a wonderful weekend together!
Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Hutchins

A Message From the APC Board
Unfortunately, due to lack of participation, we will no longer be offering Spanish conversation on Friday evenings. We are trying to accommodate the many requests over the years for parent language learning opportunities, so understandably it will be a bit of hit and miss as we figure out what works best. Sr. McBride’s Spanish classes on Tuesday evenings are still going strong. Thanks to everyones encouragement and participation. Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions, let me know.

A Note From Red Cross
Hello!
Thank you again for having us this morning and for the amazing donation. I do believe that is the largest donation we received from a school for the hurricane relief so truly, your students and staff went above and beyond!!
Gratefully,
