March 8, 2019
Our 3rd graders kicked off our Student Led Conferences this week. We continue the excitement of student leadership with our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students next week as they lead their conferences. This is truly a powerful event as our youngest Mustangs lead the discussions of their learning!!! Thank you to our parents and guardians for taking the time to participate.
Rhythm of the Night was a huge success on Tuesday and Wednesday. Yes, another opportunity for student leadership and creativity! Students choreographed their own performance! Congratulations to our 4th and 5th graders for doing a wonderful job!! Thank you to Laura Gates and Anna Owens for making this opportunity possible!!
Please continue to ask your children to check lost and found. We have a ton of items that need to be claimed.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together in bringing success to each and every student!
Yours truly,
Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary

COLLECTING OLD SHOES: 5th Grade Spring Service Project
Our 5th-grade spring service project is to collect old shoes. So clean out your closets and start looking under your beds for gently used shoes and turn them in to your child’s teacher or one of our collection boxes in the halls. Every pair you recycle means extra funds for CampMates, less landfill waste and the potential to connect us to a SoleMate! We are collecting shoes through the end of the school year.
