SacramentoPRAYS
Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.
Our Christmas Blessing to you and your family:
"The LORD bless you, and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26. Hallelujah and Amen!
"Behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior who is Christ the Lord…" Luke 2:10-11
Savior - "one that saves from danger or destruction; one who brings salvation" (Merriam-Webster.com)
How would He do this? Through a cross and an empty tomb.
Born with a declared purpose - to die as the ransom for our sin, and to be raised from the dead as our victorious Savior.
As we focus on the miraculous, priceless gift of Jesus Christ this Christmas, it is interesting that we use a tree. The cross was fabricated from wood… from a tree. Consider how dramatically the perspective shifts if the beautifully wrapped presents are placed under a cross instead of a fancy tree…
This year may the greatest gift we give be to Jesus.
Before His throne together,
Judy Trent-Whitnack

Pray for: Teen Challenge
"Christ-centered, faith-based solutions for youth, adults, and families struggling with life-controlling problems, such as addiction.
Teen Challenge is holistic – meaning that we are concerned with the body, mind, and spirit of those who come to us for help. We endeavor to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.
We endeavor to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.
We are confident that a restored relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, can transform those who are broken into vibrant, free, and sober people.
There are over 200 Teen Challenge programs throughout the United States offering a variety of programs and services for youth, adults, and families. "
"The Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge Prayer Ministry, directed by Brian and Cindy Johnson, is working with the various Area Prayer Coordinators and their teams, along with the SVTC Family. Prayer is regularly made for the students, alumni of Teen Challenge, and their families. They are also heading up efforts to partner with pastors in local communities with program and outreach efforts to see the transformation of the land, so even the need for Teen Challenge is diminished.
