MCA Weekly Wrap-Up!
Primary & KinderPrep Family News - Sept. 13, 2018
It has been such a busy, but wonderful week at Maranatha! My very favorite part of this week was Grandparents' Day! It was so much fun to see our gym and classrooms full of grandparents, and our students were so excited to share what we are learning at MCA with our families! In the elementary assembly, classes shared Bible verses, song, and the "SOAR Rap", as well as worshipping together, and in the preschool students and grandparents did crafts together and had a snack.
One of the most special parts of our Grandparents' Day was having worship time with Kindergarten-6th graders! Every week, we hold separate chapels and it is always special to worship with our kiddos at both the North Campus and the South Campus, but it was an extra-special blessing to be able to lift up our voices with ALL of our elementary students and their families! We are so privileged to be able to honor our grandparents through sharing Scripture and song, and I hope our grandparents were all blessed to see evidence of the legacy they are building through their children and grandchildren.
It is an honor to serve you at MCA!
Box Tops Time!
It’s time to start collecting Box Tops! When you buy products with Box Tops, please clip the Box Top so our school can earn money! You can send your Box Tops to the office at any time throughout the year, however, we will make our first submission on Oct. 15 so get those Box Tops turned in soon! Please make sure they are not expired and they are neatly clipped. We appreciate you helping support our school in this small way! Contact Mrs. Thomas if you have any questions.
We need you!
We have several opportunities for volunteers to serve at the school on both campuses! If you would like to help out in the lunchroom as a supervisor, supporting teachers in the classrooms, or in many other ways, please let me know and we will get you started with the process! All volunteers at MCA are required to complete a Volunteer Application and submit to a background check.
School-Age Care Update
An Invitation from Parents in Prayer
This week we were privileged to pray over the Preschool Orange room. Please come and join in to pray for your child's school. It's so powerful! God heard our prayers and gives us more than we can imagine as we give ourselves back to Him. We covered all the Homecoming events and students up in prayer as well. Next week we will pray over the Yellow room. See you Thursday at 8:10 in room 209 at the North Campus.
