Acts of Character: Gratitude

The Shannon Park Acts of Character Program revolves around teaching, promoting and recognizing positive character traits in students. During the month of November, we will be focusing on the character trait of Gratitude. Gratefulness is more than a feeling - it involves action! Gratitude is letting others know by my words and actions how they have benefited my life.

SP Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Senum, Principal's Secretary

School District 196 has been my employer home for the past 24 years where I have had the privilege of working with amazing students, staff and families. IRISH pride remains close to my heart as I am also a graduate of Rosemount High School. My husband Bill and I have 2 adult children, 1 wonderful son-in-law and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Our daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Nick, live in Northfield and are parents to Ryenn who is 7 years old and Carson who is “almost 6”. Our son, Brian, lives in Arizona and is a single parent to Greyson who is 4 years old. Bill and I relish the role of being grandparents and try to spend as much time as possible with all 3 of them. Thank you to the Shannon Park family for the warm and friendly welcome from day one. I definitely feel blessed to be working alongside each of you!
