Transportation in the North

the north had many trains that made it way faster to travil and they didnt have to walk as mutch as iin the south.

Geography in the North

The north has over 100 bays and coastlines. The north also has four different seasons. Witch give them shorter amount of time to plant there fields.

Slaves were free in the north but they still are not treated the same as whites. The free slaves had to have paper work done and wear a spesh badge to show that they were free.

There are factories were they used water power to power them. This gave many people jobs in the north.

Rivers are a main transportation in the south. They ship their goods by water mostly. There are only 10000 miles of rail roads in the north. People also had to walk a lot more in the south than the north because they had few rail roads through out the south.

The south lets people have slaves. They work on the cotton fields to pick the cotton for the whites.They allowed slavery. Most of the people didn't mind slavery because they used it to get easy labor in there cotton fields.

The south has many cotton fields they only have mild winters and hot summers. The summers were long so they had a longer growing season for the crops. They also have swamps that are a great claimant to grow sugar cane in.

The cotton fields were the main money source. The saves would pick the cotton and they didn't get payed for labor.So it was cheep but took a long time to pick all the cotton because it was all by hand.
