March at Knox!
Hello Knox Families!
We had such an exciting month of March at Knox. Our Knox Circle leaders made their annual visit to Baker Elementary school to read to students and to talk about books for Read Across America! They also had a super fun game of rock, paper, scissors and the winner got a burrito!
i2 STEM WEEK
Knox students began STEM month with 3 virtual Zoom assemblies with the scientists at Vertex! You can watch the videos here. Students got to learn from Vertex scientists and engineers about their careers and their work in the lab.
During the week of March 25th, all students at Knox participated in a full STEM week. Each grade level studied a different project:
6th grade-Lunar Colony
7th grade-Kinetic Sculptures
8th grade-Surgical Techniques
You can learn more about our key activities and STEM week curriculum from i2 here.
At the end of the week, students showcase their learning for their peers and for visitors from the district and the community. We are so proud of our staff and our students for their amazing effort, teamwork, creativity, and focus during STEM week.
