Nike Out of School Time
JCPRD Newsletter - September 2015
Into the Swing of Things
As we head into Fall, the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Please help your child make sure he/she has a jacket for cool weather and appropriate shoes for going outside or to the gym. Tennis shoes really allow your child to participate in every activity we plan!
Don't forget to follow @JCPRDGardnerOST on Twitter for up-to-date emergency closing procedures as well as pictures of your kids in action in our Out of School TIme program!
Looking at the world around us.....
We have already done projects for "Unleashed" and for "Cedar Hills." Coming up is our annual food drive and we will be looking for donations for shoe boxes to send overseas during the Christmas season. We will fill several shoe boxes with items for children. Many of these children have no toys, nor do they go to school, since they do not have school supplies. We will be able to follow the route of our boxes on a world map.
These two activities are completely voluntary on your part, but I truly believe that we can make a difference and awareness of other people around the world is essential. I am bring this up now since school supplies are very inexpensive right now, so if you see a good sale or have extra new items at home, please feel free to donate them.
If you need more information or have any questions, please ask.
