Symptoms can include: fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, feeling tired and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea (more common in children than adults). Some people with flu will not have a fever.

If your child has a fever of 100.0 or greater, they must stay home and be fever free for a full 24 hours, without being given any fever reducing medication (tylenol or ibuprofen) before returning to school.

If your child is diagnosed with the flu or has a fever, please be sure to email their homeroom teacher and Nurse Sarah at ryans@fortmillschools.org
