Parent teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, February 15th from 2:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, February 16th from 4:00pm-8:00pm. All conferences for PreK- 8th grade will be held at the Ossian site. If your child is in middle school, please sign up with their homeroom teacher as they will have all of the conference notes for all of their classes. If you would like to speak to more than one teacher, it is okay to do that as well. Please make sure you sign up by noon on Monday, February 14. Thank you!

Scholastic Book Fair

Please stop by our Scholastic book fair during conferences. The fair can be found in the school library on the 2nd floor. Depending on how many books we sell, Scholastic provides our school with books for our Spillville & Ossian libraries. If you would like to donate a book to a teacher, wish lists will be available for books they would like for their classroom libraries.

Mabes pizza orders due today

Please watch our facebook page for the online sign up option.

Life Skills- Sewing

Each year our eighth-grade students create a monster stuffed creature from an illustration created by a Kindergartener as a gift along with writing a story. Also, this year the seventh-grade students are sewing bears for their first-grade buddy. For many, this is their first sewing projects. We are working on sewing projects in life skills class in grades 5th-8th and requesting donations of fabric such as poly/cotton, flannel and fleece. Please no stretch fabrics as we are beginners. Most projects are less than one yard in size.

Other items needed include: buttons, fiber fill stuffing and trims, such as fringe, over-sized yarn or rick rack.

Donations may be sent with your child or dropped off at the school.

Thank you for supporting our students. God bless you.

Love Week

Back by popular demand is... Love Week! We will be raising money for Dance Marathon through the University of Northern Iowa. The proceeds from UNI's Dance Marathon are donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.

Throughout the week, the Disciples in Training members will be selling Valentine goodies. There will be suckers for 75 cents, tattoos for 25 cents, erasers for 25 cents, stuffed hedgehogs for $2, and chocolate roses for $3. These will be available for purchase at the end of each day. Also, students will have the opportunity to purchase a chance to eat with a teacher of their choice. Each chance is 25 cents. If their name is chosen, the teacher and student will arrange a special "non-school" lunch. This will continue through February 26th.
