PRAYER

Prayer for Catholic Schools

O Christ, our Teacher, We thank you for the gift of Catholic schools, where the message of your life, death, and resurrection is proclaimed, discipleship is modeled, worship of you is cultivated, and community is experienced.

Increase our zeal for ensuring that all children and families can benefit from an authentic Catholic education, and that Catholic schools grow in their ability to nurture the souls and form the minds of its students for generations to come.

We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady, Mother of Catholic Schools.

Amen.

We have a Substitute Teacher Handbook with information regarding substitute teaching available along with an application that can be filled out. We would love to have you come and help out!

If you would be interested in aiding in the school, please contact the school office as well. We are looking for people to help out in various ways.

Influenza

Over the last couple weeks we have been seeing many students testing positive for Influenza A.

If your child is experiencing any cold-like symptoms, please monitor and keep them home from school.

COVID

% Positive Out: 0.0%

% Out due to quarantine: 1.97%

Please continue to closely monitor your family for symptoms of COVID.

The Holy Trinity families have been doing well in keeping kids home when ill. Please do not let up and notify us right away. This has been our best mitigation yet! – Closely monitor, track, and isolate the situation so that it does not spread to others.

We highly recommend you to have a negative COVID test when returning after a quarantine period.

A Note from Mrs. Longden

We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week this upcoming week and it got me thinking about the real value of Catholic education. Catholic schools have a higher graduation rate than any other type of school, private or public (99.2%). About fifty percent of recently ordained priests report that they are products of Catholic grade schools. Based on the average public school cost of $12,624 per pupil, Catholic schools provide approximately $21 billion in savings to our nation each year. In addition to the numbers, though, we want you to know that we care about each child in our school, and we see ourselves as partners with you, parents, in raising the next generation to love God and to serve their neighbor.

We are wrapping up January and ramping up for a busy week of celebrating our Catholic School. All of our events are so much fun, so much work, and so great for our school! We hope that you can attend and/or volunteer your talents to any activities. We welcome everyone with huge smiles as we open our school for our Chili Dinner and Open House! Special thanks to our Home and School committee for all the extra time and effort you have put in to this year and helping with all the fundraising efforts!

Catholic Schools are Amazing! Take a look in the news these days and you will see glowing reports of how Catholic Schools have thrived through the challenges of the past few years. This comes only with lots of prayer, hard work, and trust in God and in each other. Catholic schools guide everyone on the same path. Moving on the same path is what keeps us going not only during a pandemic but throughout our earthly lives. It is a greater path that we aim to follow and that is our path to eternity. Catholic schools can do this. Way to go HTS!

Parents have chosen our school because of what we stand for and how we put our faith first. Supporters and donors believe in our school and want to help foster the continuation of our Catholic education. Our friends and alumni are dedicated to our Christ-centered mission and know how important the formation of our children is to the future of our society and the successful growth of each soul as we grow close to our glory beyond our earthly life. For each and everyone who has supported and helped Holy Trinity Catholic School, we could not be more thankful.

Blessings,

Mrs. Longden
