3rd Grade - Week 16 12/13/15

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. ENJOY THIS TIME WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT SO FAR THIS YEAR. I LOOK FORWARD TO COMING BACK IN JANUARY READY FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR.

NEXT WEEK

MATH: We will be starting to work on area. This will be linking to the repeated addition and multiplication we have been doing the past few weeks. We will then continue this when we return after the Christmas break.

READING: We will be moving on to traditional fairy tales. We will be looking at writing summaries, plot, problem/solution, and will be using some EOG type questions when reading these stories. Mclass will begin the first week back after Christmas.

** Homework - Please sign your child's agenda on a daily basis to show that your child has completed that night's homework. I expect homework to be turned in on time. Every Monday we write all the homework in our agenda so we know when it is due in. Also, please try and let your child do the homework by themselves, but then check it over with them. We go through homework every day so the children are aware of how they should answer the questions.

SPLASH CLASS CAROL SINGING

HOLIDAY PARTY

Big image
During the week we will be making gifts for parents/grandparents etc.

Thursday have a parent volunteer coming in to help us make some Christmas Crafts,

Friday we will be watching our movie. The children expressed that they would like to wear pj's and bring in blankets and stuffed animals. This is absolutely fine. I will be providing the popcorn! The film is a British Christmas film, so lots of British accents for our global Christmas!!!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

I am still looking for an approved volunteer to come in on Wednesday and watch the class from 11-12 so I can attend the holiday luncheon. If this is something you are able to do, please contact me via email. Thank you
