Scholastic Book Fair ~ October 22-26
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school!
We will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from October 22-October 26. It’s a wonderful
opportunity for students to find books they really love. And, we know kids read more books
when they get to choose their own, and the more kids read, the more their reading skills
improve.
The Book Fair will be open before and after school for shopping, and also during lunch recess
on Wednesday. Please be sure that if your child is shopping after school, that they are
accompanied by an adult. We don’t want anyone to miss their bus while shopping for books!
If you would prefer to shop with your child online, that is also an option this year!

The Online Fair:
• Includes an expanded selection of books for all ages — from preschoolers to adults
• Offers FREE shipping to our school on all orders
• Allows you to shop by reading level, grade, and price
• Provides a chance for you and your child to create and send wish lists to friends and
family so they can shop at our school’s Online Fair
• Is open for an extended time, giving you more days to shop
All purchases at the Book Fair and Online Book Fair benefit our school. If you would like to volunteer for the book fair, please sign up at myvolunteerpage.com in the coming days!
Thank you for helping get more kids reading, and kids reading more. See you at the Book Fair!
Harvest Festival ~ Friday, 10/26 ~ 6:30-8:00PM
The Harvest Festival is coming up this month! Mark your calendars for Friday, 10/26, 6:30-8pm.
Get ready for a super fun, loud and hot night at Montclair! A few things to keep in mind to ensure it’s a fun event for all. Costumes are encouraged for everyone in attendance, but please keep the masks, scary face paint and toy weapons at home. This is not a drop off event and all children need to be accompanied by an adult. Make sure to eat at home beforehand. Only popcorn and candy will be served.
One thing we always need to make this a successful night is a full house of volunteers! There are many fun options to choose from. Shifts are 45 minutes, so there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the evening with your family.
To sign up, log in to: https://app.betterimpact.com/Volunteer/Schedule/Opportunities. Click on Opportunities and scroll down to Harvest Festival. There will be different activities to choose from. Click on the activity you’d like to volunteer for and click sign up.
Thank you in advance for your support of this family favorite event! Questions? Contact Jennifer Histed (971-227-8334) or Audrey Boyle (mrs.audrey@gmail.com).
(Reminder: No costumes during school)
Clothes Closet ~Clothing Drive
Clothes Closet: As we swap our summer shorts for fall sweaters, it's a great time to clean out the kids' closets and donate gently used items to our neighborhood kids in need. Clothes Closet provides free clothing to families with limited income in the Beaverton District. A donation collection bin will be available in the office entrance area for your convenient drop off! Donations will be accepted from Monday October 15 to Friday November 30. *Boys jeans/pants and girls leggings are most needed.
Then, come join us for a super fun day at the Clothes Closet on Wed. Dec. 5th! We’ll have a blast and feel amazing helping families find what they need in the showroom area or enjoy chatting while we sort donated clothes.
Contact Tina Teed for more information at tinateed@gmail.com No worries if you’ve never done Clothes Closet before. We’ll be fully trained upon arrival. Excited to serve with you!
Volunteer for a shift between 9:30AM and 3:30PM. We welcome any hours, though!
