This week we are proud to honor our Mr. Witt for Assistant Principal Appreciation Week! Our students and staff celebrated all of his hard work by making him cards, pictures, and banners.

Library Cards
Our students will be bringing home an application. If you would like to sign your child up for a library card, please complete this form and return to school. We will get that form processed for you, and send your child's library card home.
ALL FORMS ARE DUE BY APRIL 27th so that we may get them returned to the Indianapolis Public Library and processed in a timely manner.

School Bus Drivers Needed - Join our Team!
Perry Township Schools has immediate openings for school bus drivers. No experience is necessary and training is free. Must enjoy working with students. Drivers’ starting pay is $17.44 per hour.

PERRY TOWNSHIP GIRL SCOUT PROGRAMS
Girl Scouts of Central Indiana has several program opportunities that support schools and other similar organizations throughout the community. There three program areas are:
Burmese/Chin – Girl Scouts of Central Indiana is working with schools, community centers, and faith based organizations to provide the Girl Scout Experience to girls in the Burmese and Chin Communities. Girls will have a Girl Scout staff members as their troop leader, who speaks several languages, and can ensure that girls are receiving consistent Girl Scout programming. There is no cost to the girls or their families.
Low-Income programming – schools, or community centers near a school, where the school has a 75% or higher rate of free and reduced lunch also has access to a troop experience provided by a Girl Scout staff member. The program is at no-cost to the girls and includes the same leadership development opportunities mentioned before – badge work, community service, field trips, etc
Hispanic Outreach – schools, or community centers near a school, where the school has a significant Hispanic population has access to a troop experience provided by a Girl Scout staff member. The program is at no-cost to the girls and includes the same leadership development opportunities mentioned before – badge work, community service, field trips, etc.

Southport High School Swim Team Kids Triathlon
Are YOU a student age 7 to 14 that likes to swim, ride your bike and run? If you are, then TRIATHLON is for YOU! Get off the couch and give TRIATHLON a try at the SHS Kids Triathlon on Monday, MEMORIAL DAY, May 28th at Southport High School. This is a GREAT opportunity for you to”TRI” something new. TRIATHLON could be YOUR NEW SPORT!
Come over to the Baxter YMCA and join the Kids Tri-Tornadoes Team! The Tri-Tornadoes meet at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:15 PM starting Tuesday, May 1st and running all SUMMER through Thursday, August 30th. The Tri team will hold 2 workouts per week in swimming, biking and running to prepare athletes for the upcoming triathlon season. The Tri-Tornadoes will compete in the Kids Tri for Kids Triathlon series. The races start in late May and run through Labor Day. Register today for NJTL Summer Tennis Program @ indynjtl.org or call (317) 429-9965. The program runs from June 11-July 21 for kids ages 5-18 at Perry Meridian Middle School. Cost is $75 for the entire summer and evening classes are available.
