the RAH
Dec 9-20, 2019
from Mike & J
Well wishes to you! As we approach our last two weeks of the first semester, we encourage you to seek the ongoing balance of high expectations for learning and leading while encouraging and enjoying the spirit of Christmas.
Explore Principal Applications
Explore principal positions are internal positions. In order to see internal postings, you will need to login to TalentEd. If you have questions about how to do this, please see THESE instructions from HR for current employees.
If you are a sitting principal, you will actually have two TalentEd logins; one that you use to view employee records related to your current position, and one that you use as an employee. You will need to use your employee login to be able to view internal only postings.
Literacy & Numeracy ICs
A reminder: by the end of December, you are to share with us your building-wide averages for three IC components: Reading Mini Lesson, Interactive Read Aloud, and Math Mini Lesson (refer to the email from Mike sent Nov 22). You will submit your building averages for each area of these three IC components via THIS Google Form.
Dyslexia Update
From Amanda McCaleb: A couple of updates:
1. We have re-generated parent letters for students that had missing data in the original screening window. Here is the path to the Cognos Report:
eSchoolPLUS Reports -> Test Score Reports -> Dyslexia Screening Results Letter-Round
2. All 2nd/3rd grade students that received a parent letter will have a license for MindPlay Virtual Reading Coach. MindPlay is an adaptive software program specifically designed for students at-risk for dyslexia. Classroom teachers who have students identified at-risk will be receiving more information about upcoming training options. If you have any questions just let me know!

ELL Feedback Survey
From Jeremy Boreland: An email from the Ellevation program asking teachers to complete monitoring forms is scheduled to go out on December the 16th (approximately three weeks prior to the form’s due date). If you could please ask teachers to submit these forms, this will help us continue to meet our legal obligation to monitor the academic progress of students who have exited the ELL program and provide us with invaluable feedback regarding students who are currently designated as English learners. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
