From Dr. Melissa Williams-Scott, CTO
The many activities October and November cause these to be upturned months in Education. Halloween, Red Ribbon Week, Homecoming, elections, required professional development and those crazy spam tests the Technology Department sends all add to the work you are already tasked with daily.
We are so very thankful for all that you do to build our students in to successful citizens. The time and energy you have spent to build lessons, remember your mask, wash your mask, grab your hand sanitizer, defog your glasses, remember your mask (yes I said it twice, because I get my steps walking back to my car each morning)…I think you get the picture…make us proud to support you. Our THANKS goes out to not just campus teams, but transportation, operations, custodial and all of the support teams at the ESC. The video below is our way of expressing this appreciation we feel for the work you do.
Password Change Tuesday, November 17th at 9:00 AM
Now that we are all back in to some sense of a routine, we must do a forced password reset in order to keep our district network safe. Further instructions can be found at https://bit.ly/DISDPasswordChange or by clicking the above image.
On Tuesday, November 17th at 9:00 am, you will be required to change your Active Directory password. This is the password you use to log into the computer, email, Google EDU, ClassLink and Finance Plus.
You must be on a district device, connected to the district network, in order to change your password on your own. If you are not in district you will need to contact the HelpDesk at 281-229-6028.
Some tips for good passwords are to include
- a word or idea (animal, color, team, car model, celebrity name, food, game, hobby, title of movie, book, show, etc.
- a number (year, statistic, lucky number, scientific constant, random number, age)
- a rAndom capital letter (or more, in a rAndom spot)
Passwords must also meet minimum requirements
- Between 9 and 15 characters
- Have 3 of these 4 attributes
- Upper case letter
- Lower case letter
- Number
- Special Character
