Knox Mountan
Here at Knox mountain, you will take a bus to this amazing lookout seen in the picture on the right. Three landmarks you can see from this point are the Okanogan Mt. park, Mt. boucherie, layer cake Mt. etc. The four processes that were formed from these land forms are... Glacier movement, the tectonic plates, volcanos and erosions. Running down Okanagan lake is where two tectonic plates meet together that's called a fault line. When you take this tour where you will be standing about a years 13,000 ago you would be almost under water wow interesting huh, if you would like to book your tour please call the number at the top of the page.
Gormans Milll
To get here you will take a bus and we will be on the west side. The type of rocks you will find here are fossil rocks conglomerate rocks, layers of sand stone and layers of volcanic ash. Inside the fossil rocks you will find a fossil formed inside. This fossil was formed from plants, so if the fossils were formed from plants the ecosystem where the rocks were formed would be very humid, lush and damp.
Mount Boucherie
From west Kelowna you will take a bus to Mount Boucherie. What is mount Boucherie well its an extinct volcano. The type of rock you will find here is extrusive igneous. How do you know that its extrusive igneous? Because it has little tiny bubbles/ indents formed from the popping magma from the volcano. The reason M.T Boucherie is so small compared to other volcanos is because it exploded and shot all its rocks all over Kelowna.
Layer Cake mountain
From Mount Boucherie you will take a bus to layer cake mountain. The slanting of the lines is formed from plate movement this gives it its unique appearance and unique name !
