Library News
- 65% of classes will be visiting the library this week. We can do better! Remember you should be trying to visit the library weekly.
- This week in K-1, library classes will be learning the basics of sitting in the story time area and using our shelf markers.
- Students in 2-5 will also be learning expectations for the story time area, as well as the library programs available to participate in this year.

Library Programs
Each month I have a reading challenge and a question. These make great activities for students who finish early! Feel free to make copies, add to your Google classroom, or share with families to do at home.
Reading Olympics- September
The start of the school year has often been represented by an apple! Learn more about apples and the man known as "Johnny Appleseed." The apple form found below is due to Mrs. Wiggins by September 29.

In September, I want to know what character from a book would students want as their BFF and why?
The link to answer is HERE.

Tech Tip- Padlet
Padlet is my absolute FAVORITE tech tool. It is like virtual Post It Notes. How awesome would it be to not have to keep up with 30 "exit tickets?" You could simply log into Padlet and check everyone's work.
Check out the tutorial on how to set it up as well as the video on ideas. If you want to give it a try, let me know!
