Hi today I am going to show you the steps to add and subtract fractionsππ
Hi today I am going to show you how to add and subtract fractions
Step 1-if the to fractions don't have the same denominator you have to find the least common multiple
Step 2- so let's say we have 1/3+1/2 the least common multiple is is 6 so the denominator is 6
Step 3- so we had to multiple 3x2 and 2x3 to get to 6 as the denominator so we have to do the same thing to the numerator.
step 4 so we do 1x3 and 1x2 and that equals 2 and 3 so then you just add 3/6+92/6 equals 5/6 and you do the exact same steps for subtractions but you just subtract at the end
