Laptop & Equipment Collection
As we near the end of the 2021-22 school year, below are a few notices about OHS student Chromebooks, chargers, and other technology devices.
- All students assigned a Chromebook are required to turn them into the media specialist, Ms. Laura Carroll, prior to June 09th, 2022.
- Students taking CTE or End-of-Course exams will return their Chromebooks immediately following their last exam. Please make sure that your student brings all outstanding OHS materials to school with them during exams. If your student is not taking exams, they will need to return all items to the library by Tuesday, May 31st, 2022.
- Along with turning in the Chromebook, students must also turn in the charger for their Chromebook and all other barcoded Orange County Schools materials. Students have received a letter listing all outstanding items.
- Both the librarian and the IT Department will be scanning the Chromebooks for damage and noting any issues.
Prior to May 31st, 2022, please take a look at your child's Chromebook and note any damage for your own reference.
Below is a list of the costs for lost items that will need to be replaced:
Charger - $38.00
Chromebook - $380.00
Hotspot - $150.00
If devices are not returned before June, 9th 2022, the device will be presumed lost and a replacement fee will be added to the student’s account. Devices will be deactivated over the summer. Students will not be able to use devices over the summer.
Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
