McAuliffe Messenger

September 2, 2022

Dear McAuliffe Families,

The first full week of school flew by! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful at McAuliffe, our children need to know that there is a connection between home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children's success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child's learning, and read through our Parent/Student Handbook.

We are concluding our administration of our school-wide benchmark testing, which allows us to individualize student instruction. The MAP benchmark assessment provides reading and math data of each student to the teachers working with them. This gives the teachers opportunities to provide appropriate and academically challenging instruction for our students. If you have any questions about these assessments or our intervention offerings, please feel free to contact us for additional information.

We are completing phase two of our construction project at McAuliffe! This project focused on an upgrade of the sprinkler system. This year, we renovated our Media Center. The students are going to love coming into the upgrade space. We can't wait to share it with all of you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Annette Szczasny, Principal

Ms. Kelly Folliard, Assistant Principal
