Job Description

Aerospace engineers design and construct spacecrafts. They conduct research on aircraft and material design. They recommend improvements in equipment and testing techniques

Tasks and Duties

They formulate conceptual design of aerospace products to meet costumer requirements. They also direct or coordinate activities that involve designing, fabrication, or testing an aircraft, or aerospace products. They review malfunctioning damaged products to determine problems that can be deadly.

Salary

  • Aerospace engineer salary range for the middle 50% is between $61,710 and $96,980
  • The low 10% make less than $50,320
  • The top 10% make more than $122,640

Education and Training

  • You would need at least 4 years but not more than 5 years of full-time equivalent academic work.
  • Bachelors Degree

How does it relate?

The module teaches about the design of rockets. Rocket scientist also design rockets and launch rockets. They also assemble rocket parts, like we do in the station.
