Appreciation

This week is Veteran's Day. Even though we can't celebrate the way we would like, Art City Elementary wants to thank our veterans and their families. Your sacrifice and service to ensure our freedom is very appreciated! You are true heroes! We want to continue to add to our Veteran Wall. If you would like a picture and story of one of your family members on our Veteran Wall, please send it with your child to the office. We leave those pictures and stories we have gathered over the last few years up all the time. We will never forget our Veterans!

I also want to share my appreciation for teachers, students and parents. This year is such an adjustment. Without the incredible dedication of parents and teachers we would not be successful. Thank you parents for sending clean masks every day, a clean water bottle and positive attitudes! Your efforts to make sure that your children have these things each day truly makes a difference.

And our teachers!! What a gift! They come each day and work hard to teach, love and sanitize. They work many hours at home to ensure high quality learning can take place, even if your children need to be home for a while. Balancing at school learning with some at home learning along with their own families and responsibilities is sometimes daunting. I am so grateful for their work ethics, devotion and joy at being in school!

I hope you can take time each day to notice things that you appreciate and that bring you joy.
