AP Scholars Program
November 2018 Update
A Message from Mrs. Treichler, Specialty Program Coordinator
If you aren't involved in any clubs or activities, I encourage you to explore the options we offer to students and get involved! Click to be re-directed to the WSHS Student Activities webpage. As a bonus, it's a great way to earn community service hours; working towards the 60 total hours required for the AP Scholars Specialty Program by graduation.
If your grades weren't where you would like them to be at the end of 1st Quarter, remember that it is still very early in the school year. Below I have shared some of the supports we have available to students to support academic progress.
- Peer-to-peer tutoring in the Viking Learning Center during FLEX.
- Peer-to-peer tutoring on Mondays - Thursdays in the Library as part of Viking Scholars.
- Additional support from your teachers. It is important to self-advocate if you need help!
- FLEX into a class that you need additional support in.
- Online support in Algebra I and Geometry with the WSHS Math Virtual Tutor. Click to be re-directed to the WSHS Math Virtual Tutor landing page.
- Free online support through Khan Academy.
Remember to reach out to your teachers, counselor, or myself (located in Lower Admin) if you feel you need additional assistance.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Treichler
