The Boone Booster Club is proud to announce the opening of an on-line Boone Toreador store that will be available 24/7 for Boone Apparel and Merchandise! The store is through Game One. Items ordered will ship directly to your home. We have been told items will ship within 5-7 days of your order. You will be able to select from many apparel & accessory options and will be able to customize items by choosing your own colors and design selections. The Toreador Mascot will soon be added to some of the design choices as well! A portion of the proceeds will go back to the Boone Booster Club.You may also find the store by searching in your browser for Game One and selecting Boone High School as your fan store. We are excited to have this available for the Toreador fans and hope you have fun shopping!
Iowa Workforce Development Grant for Summer Youth Internships
Boone CSD received an Iowa Workforce Development grant for Summer Youth Internships. The grant helped us to partner with a variety of local businesses to give students paid experiences in a field of their interest. Many thanks to Boone County Fairgrounds, Haupert Electric, Kruck Plumbing & Heating, and Lane Trailers for hosting our students. 6 BHS students successfully completed an internship, working a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least 6 weeks of their summer.

Calling all business/organizations! Boone Community School and EDGE would like to invite you to present projects/tasks/challenges to our Boone students. We are holding a ProjectPalooza on the afternoons of September 6th - 9th. These are just a 15 minute presentations to present your organization's project/task for the students to work on here at school. Often the projects get picked up more when YOU present them vs. when we do! However, if you have an idea or just want to be added to our business/partner list, please email booneedge@boone.k12.ia.us.

Toreador Families,
It's hard to believe that we are already looking at turning the calendar to August! While it's hard to believe, we look forward to another year of Toreador Athletics. Our "Online Athletics Registration" is live and active for the 2022-23 School Year (link is below). Please take the time to read through the information, and fill out the forms for your student. All students involved in District-Sponsored Athletics in grades 7-12 will need a completed online athletics registration on file, along with a current physical form (physicals are valid for 13 months after the date of the physical). There is a place within the registration to upload the completed physical form.
Completion of the Registration/Physical is not required for the attendance at any summer camps that may be offered. However, the Athletics Registration and Physical Form must be completed and on file before a student may physically participate in practice this Fall. For High School, this starting date is Monday August 10th. Middle School practices will begin a couple weeks later near the first day of school.
