Emmanuel Baptist Church
December 5, 2023
Services for Brenda Embree will be held in our building on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. If you knew Brenda, I hope you’ll be able to attend. She was a treasured part of our Church Family for nearly 30 years. Her eagerness to be with God’s people every time the doors were open as well as her joyful spirit were a shining example for us. I’m grateful for the years that God blessed our church with Brenda.
We will vote on our Proposed 2024 Budget and Committees this Sunday after our morning worship service. Copies of the Budget are available in the Foyer. As you look over the budget, if you have any questions about it please visit with someone on our Finance Committee before Sunday’s meeting. Finance Committee members are Brian Denton, Sandy Stark, Chuck Marquis, Debbie Wright, and Bryan Sperle.
We are looking at different Christmas carols each Sunday to see where their content originates in Scripture. But there’s a secondary reason that we are learning about and singing these carols. On Wednesday night, December 20, at 6:00 p.m. we want to bless many of our older church members by singing these carols on their doorsteps. Our Youth Group is putting together Christmas gifts for us to take caroling. Please make plans to join us that evening. We have about 20 homes to visit. Our hope is that we can divide into 4 or 5 groups. Even if you are not a singer, if you will just show up and smile, that will be a blessing.
I’m grateful to belong to our Church Family,

Last week we had a great turnout for our baby shower and tonight we wrap up our last session of Embrace Grace with our Blooms for this semester, however this is not the end of our journey with them. We plan to stay in contact and engage their help for next semester with new Blooms. We are incredibly grateful for how EBC has welcomed, supported, and loved our Blooms. Thank you to everyone who provided transportation, meals, encouraging words, financial gifts, and prayer. Your love and kindness was evident and made a difference in these women's lives. Thank you for celebrating new life!
