Holly Springs Elementary
PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
December 2020
Dear Families,
It has been a very productive and engaging month at Holly Springs! We hope you enjoyed our Veteran's Day program a few weeks ago. If you did not get a chance to view it, the link for the recording will be available at the bottom of this month's newsletter.
As we move into December, we have some very important assessments we will be administering. It is imperative for our SBDL students to maintain the validity of the tests by following the testing protocols. We use this data to guide our instruction, offer interventions or acceleration for students, and prepare our groups moving towards GMAS. At this time, the end of grade test is still slated to be taken in April. I have included a link below to our Star newsletter which includes helpful videos and a remote administration guide
Finally, it is time to make your decisions again concerning your student's learning path. Our staff and students have continued to do a phenomenal job implementing our protocols and procedures in the building. Please consider your choice for the 3rd nine weeks and complete the survey before 12/11/2020. If you choose to commit to returning in person; student's may return to SBDL at anytime but must remain at home through the nine week period. Due to the many hurdles of hybrid teaching, we do not allow students to switch back and forth between learning models.
Sincerely,
Principal Trexler
