Elementary Annual GT Projects
Our GT projects for elementary are starting! Students will be introduced to short lessons on project management, time management, and the project process before beginning their projects. Students will also be participating in mini lessons that will help them build the necessary background knowledge to complete this year's GT Challenges. So you may not see them working on their "actual project" just yet. It is important for students to learn the research process and the importance of gaining knowledge and understanding of a topic before tackling and solving a problem. These are skills that students will carry with them through junior high, high school and beyond! Check out the MISD Gifted & Talented website under the "GT Project" tab for more information on what projects are offered for each grade level.
Coming Soon! Elementary Enrichment Units
We are getting closer to rolling out our NEW GT Elementary Enrichment Kits and we are VERY EXCITED! These kits will provide our elementary campuses with enrichment lessons and resources for their identified GT students. These units will challenge students to think outside the box. Implementation of these units will vary on each elementary campus based on their schedule and needs. Stay tuned for more information!
