PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
What a year 2019-20 has been! These past 3 months have shown just how hard our staff and students work. Without missing a beat our teachers jumped into online instruction and students and families did the same. I am so proud of the work that everyone has done!
The Brookdale staff and I want to wish all the best to our students who are moving on to other schools! We extend our best wishes for happy, healthy and successful futures. We will miss you! We especially want to extend our congratulations to our fifth graders. We know you will have the opportunity for important accomplishments and contributions as you move on to middle school and beyond. I hope you enjoy a safe and fun summer, get lots of exercise and fresh air and read great books!
I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout-out to the hard-working staff at Brookdale. Right up to the very end, teachers, paras, and the rest of the staff, have taught, supported, and cared for every student. Without their hard work and dedication, students would not have made the growth that they did this year!
I also want to thank the Brookdale PTA for their unbelievable support and dedication! They served our students throughout the school year with many awesome activities.
Finally, I want to thank families for everything you do for your children! Without your support, it would be much more difficult for them to succeed as they have this year! Thank you!
If we don't talk again before summer, have a safe summer and we look forward to seeing so many of you in September at our temporary home - James Sales. The first day of school will be September 8, 2020.

5TH GRADE PROMOTION
We are so excited to see our 5th grade students this Thursday, June 18th from 4:00-6:00 PM at Rainier View Christian Church. We will be hosting a drive through promotion celebration for our 5th graders! Families will drive through the parking lot and receive a generic promotion certificate (the official one will be sent in the mail with your child's report card) and goody bag from their teacher. Additionally, we will have a photo spot set-up where you can stop and take pictures with your 5th grade student. We will not be taking pictures, but you are welcome to bring a camera and take advantage of this opportunity. There will be a backdrop set-up for photos. We will continue to follow social distancing protocol, so unfortunately everyone will have to stay in their car until photo time. Your 5th grade teachers are looking forward to seeing you and celebrating you on June 18th. Please be sure to open the flyer below for information regarding the event.

2020-21 Registration
2020-2021 School Year
The first day of school in the fall for the 20-21 school year is September 8th. Please watch our website and monitor your emails for important information about what school will look like for Franklin Pierce in the fall for elementary students. We will have a new start and end time next year. The tardy bell will ring at 9:35 and school will be dismissed at 4:05. Please make sure to make necessary arrangements for our new times.
The state has just come out with guidelines for opening schools in the fall. As a district, we will be developing a plan that ensures students are safe and engaged. You should have received a survey about next year from the school district. Please take time to complete and return. The information you share will help with the decisions for next year. Look for more detailed information for the start of the school year throughout the summer.
