Caterpillars & Butterflies
Students learned about the metamorphosis of caterpillars. The caterpillars rapidly changed into chrysalides where students observed the entire transformation. Classes set butterflies free to enjoy their new homes!
Student Interns
Greenlee Primary has three student interns from Mitchell High School this semester. Student interns work closely with teachers and students to gain further knowledge in Early Childhood Education. Interns below are Nicole Whitson, MaKayla Phillips, and Jessica Cervantes.
Community Builders
First graders built their own community in the classroom! They choose to focus on a suburban area where they learned about the needs of citizens and the community. Students also focused on different occupations, goods and services, and wants versus needs. By working together to build a 3-D town, students learned about different people, places, and things that coexist in a thriving community.
Rocking Technology
Teachers are integrating technology into the curriculum to promote and extend student learning on a daily basis. Second graders are creating exceptional morning announcements with green screen technology. First graders are rocking reading on Raz-Kids while kindergartners are building rudimentary iPad skills!
