A Call to Prayer

Your continued prayers are appreciated for the 3 Assembly Bills (1779, 2119 and 2943) with the following update:

-AB1779 is pending: Assembly Business and Professions Committee

-AB2199 is pending: Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee

-AB 2943 is pending: 50% progression. From committee: ordered to second reading pursuant to Senate Rule 28.8

Dr. John Jackson, President of William Jessup University, describes these bills as “very onerous regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. These bills, more than those that have preceded them, attempt to silence speech, publication, and religious activity. There are no religious exemptions in any of them."

Press on in prayer and in giving praise to our Glorious Living God! He has already won this battle at the cross and is now doing far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us!

Highlighted Event: The Cry

The Cry is a group of young people standing in the gap for a generation of party-goers (our peers) bound to a lifestyle of excessive drinking, drugs and promiscuity. We are believing for God to move mightily in the college party scene, bar scene and club scene here locally and beyond, sparking revival in this area of society; seeing young people set free from the deception that lures them into this bondage: and calling all prodigals home!

Words of Knowledge

By Judy Trent-Whitnack

The Holy Spirit’s leading and revelation awakens marvel and awe.

Words of Knowledge are a part of this! They are fun opportunities to grow our relationship with Him! Words of Knowledge come in many forms and packages, and can be as individual and unique as each of us! Some Words come as pain in a specific area of the body designed to direct our attention to someone in our sphere who is experiencing similar pain. Other Words come as sensations within our body, visions, dreams, words “going through” our mind, visual revelations or visions, parallels in nature - God is really limitless in his creativity in how He communicates with us! With words of knowledge, it is important that we are in tune with ourselves emotionally, physically and spiritually, so that we can easily distinguish what is “ours” and what is supernatural information. It is also important that we ask the Lord what He wants us to do with this information. Sometimes it is simply to pray for the person or the situation. Other times He may use it to minister His love to the individual through our sharing with them – but this must be in humility, love, and submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Shawn Bolz has some wonderful training available in this area in his “Translating God” study and “Word of Knowledge Workshop”
