Greetings from Professor Donovan
January 7, 2015
Greetings
Another fall term is behind us and we find ourselves that much closer to realizing our academic goals. As I reflect on how fast the academic year passes, I am reminded of how important it is to make what we do matter; to make it count. What does it mean to put our best foot forward? What does it mean to get the job done? My leadership professor inspired me with his thoughts on this very idea. He said, "Get up, show up, and be present." Getting up and showing up seem to be the more manageable pieces, but are we present?
I leave you with this thought as you begin to envision what the spring term might look like. How might you be present at home, with loved ones, with friends, at work, and in the classroom?
Sincerely,
Professor Donovan
