#YouMatter
VALTS 2013
VALTS #YouMatter Project
Angela Maiers inspired me to do something with my students that would help them see how much they matter. I decided to have them write about their hopes, dreams, fears, and their genius. They thought it was a little silly and goofy, but I asked them to trust me. I had a vision for what all of these seemingly random short essays would look like.
They originally wrote their responses on a Google Doc that was only shared with me so they were comfortable sharing some pretty heavy stuff. When they created their flyer they had the option of editing their writing in case they didn't want to share their stories with the world, but as far as I can tell all of them shared their original essays. (This is HUGE for them to allow me to share this project with all of you!) I hope you will appreciate my students for the unique and beautiful individuals that they are.
