NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1ST
Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great way to collaborate with your child’s teacher and learn how your child is doing in school. During the 15-20 minute conference, the teacher will review your child's current assessment data, work habits, and social behavior to establish learning goals for your child.
It's also a great time for you to ask questions or talk about any learning-related concerns. Input in the following areas would be helpful:
- What does your child say about school?
- What are your child's special interests/out-of-school activities?
- Does your child have regular responsibilities at home?
- Is there anything else we should be aware of that may affect your child's performance in school?
Creating a partnership with your child's teacher around your child's learning can make a big difference. Within the next week, your child's teacher will be reaching out to you to schedule a conference. You will have the option of in-person, a phone call, or a virtual meeting. Please make every effort to arrive at your scheduled time.
Should you prefer an in-person conference, the following protocols will be in place:
1. Conference participants will need to wear a mask as soon as they enter campus;
2. Conference participants will need to maintain 6 foot distancing when indoors.
The early dismissal bell schedule will be followed. Wildcats Grades TK/K will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m. (Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.). Wildcats Grades 1-5 will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
International Walk & Roll to School Day
Next Wednesday, October 6th is International Walk and Roll to School Day. The celebration is designed to encourage students, families and the school community to roll, walk, bicycle, take transit, or use other non-motorized transportation to get to school. Throughout the day, students will share how they got to school by placing a sticker on our mode chart under the corresponding category that matches how they got to school.
Toys vs Tools
We have had a significant amount of students bringing toys to school. This includes pop its, balls, fidgets and other toys. Toys are not allowed at school unless the teacher requests as a reward/incentive. If your child needs a fidget to use as a tool; that is a conversation you can have with your child's teacher. We do not want valuables lost or stolen. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Lost & Found
Susan Dhillon, a parent at ACE, is heading up our Lost & Found efforts this year. She will be organizing items placed in our Lost & Found. If you are looking for something specific, please text her at 508-345-3437. We will also have all Lost & Found items out front periodically throughout the year for students and parents to find lost items. Please look out for more information as those dates gets closer.
Warmly,
Andrea Tapia

2. Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
3. Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
4. Follow the instructions on-screen to register students
5. When you finish, the system emails or texts pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online. Please remind donors that their donation will appear as a charge through Paypal labeled "Altamont Creek".
And don't forget to ask if the donor's employer does matching grants! Taking advantage of matching grants means double the money for ACE and double the credit for those wildcats!
