What is virtual reality?

What is virtual reality? What senses does virtual reality stimulate?

Virtual reality is an artificial environment that is created with code and software and is shown in a way that the user thinks it is a real environment. The senses it stimulates are sight, hearing and sometimes touch.

  1. Would videogames be more exciting with VR? Why?

Yes, because the player gets to feel and see what a character in that reality would see, which makes the player more immersed and excited. It would make the player feel closer to the game. 1. What are some downsides to virtual reality?

Some downsides to virtual reality are how long it takes to create. A team of programmers could take up to a year to program a room accurately. Another is virtual crime and real life. Considering that virtual reality is close to real life, virtual crimes could cause a person distress in that world. The question is, would the criminal be charged with a real crime, or just passed off as a game? Strickland, Jonathan.
