END OF YEAR NEWSLETTER
Thornton Junior High - Last Week of School
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello Thornton Families,
And just like that, the year is coming to an end! I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to get to know your children. Thornton is a great school with many things in which to be proud. The students and staff are among the best in Fremont! I would like to thank and acknowledge the hard work of the PTSA this year. The PTSA parents have assisted in several school-wide events, conducted and organized events for staff and students, and have been a great partner with the school. Thank you PTSA!
As we prepare to move to a middle school next year there are still several construction projects that need to be completed. Due to the large scope of projects in the summer months, the school campus will be closed to the public beginning the afternoon of the last day of school and will not be available until, at least, August 10, 2023. More information on the closure and how to contact staff will be listed below in this newsletter. Please make certain to read this entire newsletter as it has items of high importance as it relates to the last week of school, summer months and the beginning of the next school year.
The Thornton Staff and I wish you an enjoyable summer and extend our best to the exiting 8th graders as they embark on their high school journey! We look forward to the return of our 7th graders next year as well as welcoming in approximately 1,200 new students as Thornton Junior High converts to Thornton Middle School.
Have a great summer!
Ms. Strausbaugh, Principal
