November 7

Good evening Viper families,

Good evening Viper families,

Daylight saving time ended today, Sunday, November 7th. Be sure to set your clocks back one hour.

This week our students and teachers will continue to prepare for Student Led Conferences on November 17th and 18th by setting up conference schedules. Teachers will go over scheduling instructions with students during Advisory on Monday, and we will reach out to parents with scheduling instructions. Please select your conference time by this Wednesday, November 10th.

This week is LGBTQ+ History and Transgender Awareness Week. We will have optional lunch activities and spirit dress up days all week, please see this Diversity week flyer for more information. Monday’s theme is “Vipers are open minded,” and the dress up theme is wear yellow.

We have no school this Thursday, November 11th for Veterans Day. The only day off is Thursday, school will resume on Friday, November 12th.

Last week we had 2 individuals at our school who tested positive for COVID-19. Staff members and students who may have come into close contact with the individual(s) have already received a separate communication from school staff and San Diego County Public Health. Students who are home in quarantine or due to a COVID related situation should refer to our Student Quarantine Instructions to stay up to date with their classwork. You may also check the VUSD COVID-19 Case Dashboard at any time for information on VMMS and all VUSD schools. We encourage everyone who is eligible to get the COVID vaccination, which is now available free at the Vista Innovation Center every weekday. Click here for COVID vaccination clinic information.

Thank you and have a great evening,

Vista Magnet Middle School
