Free Pfizer vaccination clinic
Harmony Public Schools is proud to partner with the Travis County Mobile Vaccine Collaborative to host a district-wide and completely free Pfizer Vaccination Clinic at Harmony School of Innovation (2124 E St Elmo Rd, Austin, TX 78744) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 11th. Ascension Seton nurses will be in the school's cafeteria administering the Pfizer vaccine to children 5-17 years of age (parent must be present) and adults looking to get booster shots. No pre-registration is required. No health insurance is required. Remember, the CDC approve for adult booster shots to be mixed and matched, meaning if your initial doses were Moderna, you can get your booster shot with Pfizer. Hope to see y'all there!

EOC testing
Next week December EOC Retests will be taking place on campus. These tests are for students who either did not pass the STAAR EOC in previous school years, or did not come to school to test last school year. The December EOCs are real STAAR tests and count towards students’ graduation requirements.
Additionally, for the next two weeks, students enrolled in STAAR-testable grades or courses will be taking the Interim Assessment. The Interim Assessment is a TEA created test used to determine how students are progressing in their courses. This test is not for a grade, however it is important for your student to try their best as it supplies information for teachers to determine how best to help your student.
To safeguard your child’s success on their tests, please do the following: make sure your child arrives on time to school after a good night’s rest; is prepared to test; and eats a good dinner the night before and a good breakfast the morning of testing. Similarly, encouraging your child to do his or her personal best can greatly improve your child’s self-confidence which will lead to better performance.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email kristin.johnson@harmonytx.org
Please see the schedule below for testing days:

Code 2 College Winter Registration is open! DUE December 1, 2021
Code 2 College is getting ready for our Winter Programming that will start in January. The application is currently open and will close on December 1, 2021. We had 23 High School Harmony Science Academy students in our Fall Programming and are looking to increase that number by 25 more students!
Code 2 College has also launched an initiative called Vision 2024, where we aim to place 200 Black and Latinx women into STEM roles by the year 2024. Code2College Vision 2024 is focused on the identification, recruitment, preparation, and workforce placement of women who have the talent and potential, but historically and currently lack the access to pursue these high-need and high-wage careers. Students in this mentorship program will be paired with both technical and executive-level female mentors who are currently in the STEM field.
