Water, Water & More Water

Your brain is 80 percent water. Anything that dehydrates it, such as too much caffeine or alcohol, decreases your thinking and impairs your judgment. Make sure you get enough water for your brain every day. A good general rule: If you weigh 150 pounds, consume 75 ounces of water per day; do not exceed more than 120 ounces a day.

Taken from 9 Foods to Supercharge Your Brain Health by Daniel Amen, M.D.

We encourage all students to have a water bottle at their seats and sip on the water throughout the day. Please support us during the end-of-year assessment by sending your child to school each day with a water bottle or by having a water bottle they keep at school.

John Hancock Charter School

We have openings in 6th, 7th and 8th grade for the fall. Please pass the word on to your family, neighbors, and friends.
