Principal's News
Since 2017 our College began our IB journey by applying to become a candidate schools for both the PYP and MYP programs. Our staff have worked tirelessly in that time to ensure that their own professional learning and the learning of our students is based on the IB inquiry approach, growing young people with strong academic skills and a desire to be compassionate global citizens.
Full Authorisation to become an officially recognised IB School is a lengthy and thorough journey, it is a huge achievement milestone for IB schools. The Authorisation process takes a deep dive into every aspect of learning and planning for your child's education to ensure the IB way of learning is imbedded into our school culture and pedagogy.
On Monday and Tuesday next week, our Primary Years Program is walking through the process of Authorisation, a hugely exciting time to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible IB PYP journey to date and set our goals for future improvement and growth. We thank each and every staff member who has been a part of our PYP program for their efforts and commitment for ongoing improvement. Our teachers truly are such professional and gifted professionals who have worked so hard for this accreditation. So ably led by Mrs. Stephanie Kriewaldt our primary team deserve a huge round of applause and appreciation, thank you team! As a parent, I know there is no other school that I would want my child to be at. To our staff, thank you to you all!

PTFA Christmas Drive Through Celebrations
We may not be able to come together for our usual annual PTFA Christmas Carols Picnic but we have decided restrictions can't stop some Christmas fun!
On Thursday, 10 December the College Drive Through will become the place to be! College families are invited to attend our first ever 'Christmas Drive By'......decorate your car, wear your Christmas bling and drive through between 6 and 7pm.
The carols will be playing, the lights will be flashing and the surprises flowing! Every car who drives through and is decorated will receive a ticket to be in the winning for a Christmas Gift Hamper. Kids will receive a treat and Santa will be available for 'Santa Selfies'. Families will need to remain in vehicles at all times but the more cheer the merrier!
Please put this in your calendar and join us as we celebrate the year and have some Christmas fun!
2021 Student Leadership Opportunities
This week we have met with Students in Years 5 and 9 to discuss the process for electing Primary Captains and College Captains for 2021.
A Student Guide has been handed to all students interested in nominating for one of these roles with an outline of dates and process. Additional copies can be collected from the College Office or from Mr Kriewaldt.
Due to Covid-19 regulations, speeches this year will be presented virtually and students will watch speeches and vote for our 2021 Student Leaders from their classrooms in Week 9. House Captains and SRC Representatives are elected early in the new year.
School start dates for 2021
As we prepare for the new school year the College has adapted our usual start of school routine. Our 2021 Prep and Year 7 students have not been able to fully participate in a transition program this year due to the Covid-19 regulations placed on schools. As such, the 2021 school year will have a staggered start.
The 2021 School start dates:
Thursday 28th January - PCG Parent/Student/Teacher interviews for all year levels
Friday 29th January - First day for Prep's and Year 7 ONLY
Monday 1st February - Whole school returns to school
We look forward to these staggered start dates providing a smooth start to the school year for all students.
Drop off and Pick up
There are various options at Trinity Lutheran College when it comes to dropping off and picking up your children at school. We would like to remind families of best practice for each entry/exit point.
Le Pedeleure Ave
- As a parent if you wish to get out of the car, even for 1 minute to give your child a kiss or assist them with their school bag, this is the drop off/pick up point for you.
Main gates on 15th Street
- "Quick" drop off, pick up - Parents not to get out of cars.
- Students need to be self sufficient when exiting/entering vehicles.
- Please do not stop in the drive through to talk to teachers on duty. Parents are welcome to contact the school to make a time to talk.
Sunset Hall Car Park
- No parking in the drop off zone, only in designated car park spaces provided.
The safety of ALL students and staff on duty is paramount and your support in these procedures is appreciated, thank you.
2022 Prep Enrolments

Student Illness and Attendance
It is so exciting to know that not only our state but also Australia continues to record such low and on many days now, zero new cases of Covid-19 but with this great result can come complacency. A reminder to families when children are unwell - PLEASE DO NOT send your child to school if showing any symptoms of being unwell. Students will be sent home from school when ill. Thank you.
