Kirk Fenton News
11th January 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
Happy New Year and welcome back to school. I hope that you all had a peaceful break over Christmas and new year and found some time to recharge your batteries. The children have returned to school raring to go and the KS2 Young Voices choir had an amazing first day back performing at Sheffield Arena with many other school choirs. I have heard all about the great time that they had and I know how proud their teachers are of them. Well done to everyone that attended!
I would like also to say well done to our Reception children who have coped very well with the changes that have been made in EYFS. Their learning this week has been brilliant to see.
This is always a busy term with several class trips and activities planned so lots to look forward to. Do please call in to see me if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

Curry Night is coming!
Happy New Year everyone! With Christmas now behind us, Friends thought it would cheer everyone up to have another event to look forward to... so have arranged a Curry Night on Tuesday 19th February! This will be a great social event for all the grown ups in the community, whether associated with the school or not, while raising funds for the school. Tickets cost £16 per head and include starter, main course and rice or naan. Drinks are not included in the price, but available from the bar on the night (cash or cheques only at the Sunar Bangla, Church Fenton). We are having two sittings, one at 6.30pm, one at 8.30pm. Get your tickets from Church Fenton Community Shop before we sell out! Menu choices available on our Facebook page and on booking forms at the shop or by emailing us on the address below. There will also be a raffle on the night to win one of two hampers. Hope to see you there!
