We NEED your child(ren) here on Wednesdays! *letter attached*

Donation - 9 Square

Columbia Families –

Each and every Wednesday is an opportunity for our Columbia Students to really get time to connect with their assigned mentor teacher to start in some cases or continue in most cases that positive relationship between your student and their mentor teacher. As students do a wide range of items on Wednesday in their mentor classroom, there also is a time in the day in which we give the students and the staff a break in the day. Yesterday we had our groups of 9th/10th graders along with our 11th/12th graders participate in field day activities. The attached picture has become a very popular game called 9-square. I am looking if there is anyone in our Columbia community that may have the ability or connections in making a permanent 9-square court on our campus. Currently we are using PVC for the game but the students feel like it would be really neat to have this on our campus permanently. The neat thing about this game is a lot of people can play at a time. The basis of the game is to have 9 people, each person standing under the opening of the square above them. The goal of the game is to protect your square to keep the ball from landing on the ground through your square. If you would like more information or feel like this is something you could help Columbia with please contact me. Thanks for all you do!

ID Cards & Picture Retakes

Picture retakes are taking place on Monday, October 11th from 8-11am in the Black Box (across from the Auditorium). After this date, ID cards are REQUIRED to be worn daily. If students lose their ID cards, they will be charged $5 to replace. Thank you for your support.

From the Dean

  • Reminder that students are to be wearing their school issued Student ID on a daily basis. After one Temporary ID is issued, students will be automatically given a replacement, that replacement is $5 for the ID and $1 for the lanyard.
  • Wildcat Way Club Character/Kindness Challenge for the week is:
  • Introduced yourself to 3 new people this week. You might just make someone’s day by going out of your way to say hi!
  • Student IDs- Reminder that the expectation is that all students are expected to wear their Student ID at all times while on campus during the school day. Student’s not wearing their ID will be issued a temporary ID from the Attendance Kiosk. After 1 Temporary ID students then will be issued a new ID and be charged $5 for the ID and $1 for the new lanyard. If students do not have money on them they will have the fee placed on their student account. All fees will need to be paid prior to graduation and receiving their diploma. Thank you for encouraging your student in practicing this expectation.

  • Wildcat Way Team Character/Kindness Challenge of the Week: The week of October 11-15 we are challenging our students to introduce themselves to 3 new people during the week. Becoming a friendly face to another might just make someone’s day!
