Tuesday, March 27, 2018-Kindergarten Registration Night. If you know of any upcoming Kindergarteners, please encourage them to come to our event. Times: 4 pm-6 pm.
Wednesday, March 28, 2018- Early Release DayThursday, March 29, 2018-No school for students-Kindergarten Friends will have Spring conferences.
Spring Break: Wednesday 12 pm-Friday April 6, 2018. Students/Staff return on April 9, 2018.
Friendly Reminders!
REMINDER: All transportation changes must be in handwritten form, and turned in by 7:30 am. Please place these in the binder and we will make sure they are turned in for you. No changes via ClassDojo or phone call to the office (unless there is an emergency) will be accepted. Thank you!

This week's Math Topics
We are reviewing all of our math standards this week.
Addition and Subtraction/Word Problems ,Geometry (2D (flat) shapes), Measurement and Data (Non-standard: Length-using shapes, paperclips, cubes, counters, crayons, pencils, etc. to measure common items such as paper, pencils, etc. and Weight (using balancing scales) ), Numbers/Base Ten (0-20, place value (1's and 10's).
-Something that we can all work on is counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's to 100.
Our Reading Topics and Standards
RL.K.1 With prompting and support, ask, and answer questions about key details in a text.
RF.K.3c Read common high-frequency words by sight.
New reading skills introduced during this Benchmark Assessment Window:
PSF-Phoneme Segmentation Fluency: Giving students a word, and they decode (break it apart) the word, and encode (build it back) it back verbally.
NWF-Nonsense Word Fluency: These are CVC words that students are expected to read. Students can say the whole word or sound out the word, producing the individual sounds.
